Graph'It Marker Challenge - Backgrounds

It's challenge time over on the Graph'It Marker Blog and this week we want to see your backgrounds. As always there's a fabulous prize of some Graph'It Markers up for grabs and the best bit is you don't even need to use Graph'It Markers.

I've been poorly this week and so needed a really quick make. Let me know what you think of my inspiration piece this week, especially the background technique.

To create the background I scribbled my Graph'It Markers on a piece of acetate and then spritzed it with Mix It Fluid. I picked the acetate up and tilted it to allow the colours to blend. Then before it dried I laid a piece of card over the top and pressed it into the ink. I trimmed the card to size and then stamped the images to create my scene.

Thanks for stopping by today.

It's not October it's Octavia!

I'm really hoping that all of you can see this post cos if you can't it means I've completely messed up my blog! In my last post i mentioned that I thought it was odd that nobody was commenting on my work and that I'd discovered the reason for it was Google+. Basically Google+ comments will not allow anyone to comment on my posts unless they sign up for a Google+ account and to be honest I can't say that I blame anyone who doesn't sign up as it isn't a fabulous platform and if they have to use these methods to get people to sign up then I'm certainly not a fan! Anyhow I decided to leave the Google+ platform and they certainly don't make it easy, as I went to click leave they kindly informed me that all Google profiles will be deleted! Anyway, I decided that I'd leave anyway and see what happens - worse case scenario I have to start my blog up all over again! Hey ho!

Anyway enough of my moaning I'm here to tell you about the Graph'It Marker challenge this week which is AUTUMN COLOURS. Remember you don't need to use Graph'It Markers to enter, your project, it simply needs to fit the theme. You could win yourself some fantastic new pens if you're the lucky winner, so what are you waiting for? Get your entries in!

My inspiration card this week is using the beautiful Octavia from Polka Doodles. I coloured her with my GI's and then added a combination of a GI background and Distress Inks which I flicked lightly with water to give a faux bleach effect. I then added some Stickles for a bit of bling and glitz before assembling the card.

Skin 4115,4125, 4135,4155, 3110

Well that's it from me today. I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Let It Snow! Chalkboard Christmas Card

Good morning. Firstly I'd like to say a big "Hello" to my new followers. Secondly I'd like to apologise to anyone who has taken the time to leave me a comment that I've failed to visit or reply too but I've had a little problem with my comments in as much as I don't get notification of them at the moment due to the wonderful Google+ taking control of my blog - grrrrr!! I thought you'd all runaway until I clicked on the actual comments tab at the bottom and a whole load appeared!!

Anyway, I've got a little card for you this morning that I made using what is quite possibly my most favourite stamp of the year, namely the Chalkboard stamps from Polka Doodles. If you haven't seen them you really should pop across to see the full range, they are totally lush and oh so very useful! Apologies for the rubbish photos. I took these in a hurry as the card needed to be sent off as a sample and as always I was running close to the knuckle for time!

Thanks for stopping by today.
